We Are Carlos is a digital platform born from this vision — a space where teens from diverse backgrounds can come together to explore faith, ask difficult questions, and grow.
We Are Carlos is a Catholic association of the Diocese of Thanjavur founded by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. T. Sagayaraj, Bishop of Thanjavur. This movement is dedicated to teenagers and youth, guiding them to grow in faith and character while embracing the opportunities of the digital age.
Bishop Sagayaraj envisions the young people of his diocese walking in the footsteps of Blessed Carlo Acutis—a holy teenager who lived only 15 years, yet whose witness continues to inspire lives across the world.
Through We Are Carlos, Bishop Sagayaraj invites the youth to imitate Blessed Carlo, who showed that it is possible to live with:
Faith – keeping Christ at the center of life, especially through the Eucharist.
Purity – cultivating holiness in everyday choices.
Joy – living the Gospel with enthusiasm and hope.
Creativity – using talents and technology for good, evangelization, and service.
The Association aims to form a new generation of young Catholics who are spiritually rooted, digitally responsible, and socially committed, ready to transform society with the light of Christ.
